120-hour core 10-unit curriculum

1. Coaching sessions and assessments (20 hours)
Each unit begins with a 2-hour coaching session with your TESOL instructor, which can be conducted in-person or virtually. Each session includes a review of the previous unit, assignment / assessment feedback, and exploration of the foundational material for the current unit. Each 2-hour coaching session provides you with key insights to prepare you and to guide your learning for the week ahead. Coaching sessions will also include an assessment of the previous unit content.

2. Learning support and research (70 hours)
Following the coaching session for each unit you will have guided independent research and study to complete which will prepare you to complete the unit assignments. The independent study workload is designed to take 7 hours per unit. It is important to note that during the week, your TESOL instructor will be available for you via email or messaging as a resource to help you with your weekly assignments. You are not alone for this part of the course.

3. Unit Assignments (30 hours)
After completing your self-guided study, you will submit your unit assignments as directed by your instructor. Some units will have 1 assignment, others will have 2 assignments.
-
Initial assignment completion: 2 hours per unit
-
Refining with feedback: 1 hour per unit

With that said, once you begin this TESOL course, it must be completed within 6 months of your start date.
